I followed a recipe in the Sept. 2008 issue of Bonappetit\u00a0<\/em> to make use\u00a0of the Concord grapes that grow in my backyard.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’m lucky to have\u00a0my own supply of Concord grapes, since\u00a0they\u00a0aren’t\u00a0so popular in supermarkets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pie recipe I use calls for seedless red grapes, but I\u00a0suggest that you use Concord grapes.\u00a0\u00a0I’ve spotted them in more markets lately.\u00a0 I\u00a0don’t want you to miss out on the amazing pie and the juice\u00a0strained from the Concord grapes during the\u00a0pie prep.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Concord grape juice <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The taste of fresh, unfiltered Concord grape juice is nothing\u00a0like grape juice from a bottle.\u00a0 It’s hard to describe, but my sister calls it\u00a0“nature’s candy”.<\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0 I cool the grape pie for at least 1.5 hours before serving.\u00a0<\/p>\n
