Week of April 18th

Looks like I’ve been appreciating many things green this week! Gotham Green vegan pesto is delicious and helps me keep our cheese intake in check. My husband and I may have eaten a little too much cheese at the beginning of the pandemic, which blood test results confirmed! Secondly, Omsom yuzu misoyaki is a great sauce to add to cubed chicken thighs. It made me think of terriyaki chicken from Sarku Japan, which I always loved if I was going to eat anything at the mall. However, this sauce gives chicken a more complex flavor profile and, since I prepared it this week, the dish was not oily and quite meaty. I’m also happy to support an AAPI sister-owned business! Finally, little gem lettuce is so cute, easy to clean and quickly adds a fresh vegetable to almost any meal.
